Lev 23

23:1 The LORD said to Moses,

23:2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.

23:3 “‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD.

23:4 “‘These are the LORD’S appointed feasts, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times:

23:5 The LORD’S Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.

23:6 On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD’S Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast.

23:7 On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.

23:8 For seven days present an offering made to the LORD by fire. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.’”

23:9 The LORD said to Moses,

23:10 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.

23:11 He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.

23:12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the LORD a lamb a year old without defect,

23:13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil–an offering made to the LORD by fire, a pleasing aroma–and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine.

23:14 You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain, until the very day you bring this offering to your God. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

23:15 “‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks.

23:16 Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.

23:17 From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits to the LORD.

23:18 Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings–an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

23:19 Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering.

23:20 The priest is to wave the two lambs before the LORD as a wave offering, together with the bread of the firstfruits. They are a sacred offering to the LORD for the priest.

23:21 On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly and do no regular work. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

23:22 “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.’”

23:23 The LORD said to Moses,

23:24 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of rest, a sacred assembly commemorated with trumpet blasts.

23:25 Do no regular work, but present an offering made to the LORD by fire.’”

23:26 The LORD said to Moses,

23:27 “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present an offering made to the LORD by fire.

23:28 Do no work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the LORD your God.

23:29 Anyone who does not deny himself on that day must be cut off from his people.

23:30 I will destroy from among his people anyone who does any work on that day.

23:31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

23:32 It is a sabbath of rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”

23:33 The LORD said to Moses,

23:34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month the LORD’S Feast of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days.

23:35 The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work.

23:36 For seven days present offerings made to the LORD by fire, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made to the LORD by fire. It is the closing assembly; do no regular work.

23:37 (“‘These are the LORD’S appointed feasts, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing offerings made to the LORD by fire–the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings required for each day.

23:38 These offerings are in addition to those for the LORD’S Sabbaths and in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings you give to the LORD.)

23:39 “‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival to the LORD for seven days; the first day is a day of rest, and the eighth day also is a day of rest.

23:40 On the first day you are to take choice fruit from the trees, and palm fronds, leafy branches and poplars, and rejoice before the LORD your God for seven days.

23:41 Celebrate this as a festival to the LORD for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month.

23:42 Live in booths for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in booths

23:43 so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in booths when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.’”

23:44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed feasts of the LORD.

23:1 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

23:2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, As to the appointed feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, these are My appointed feasts.

23:3 Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work; it is a Sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwelling places.

23:4 These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, even the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at their appointed time:

23:5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight, is Jehovah’s Passover,

23:6 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

23:7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor.

23:8 But you shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah seven days. On the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor.

23:9 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

23:10 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you come into the land which I am giving you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest;

23:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah for your acceptance; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

23:12 And on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering to Jehovah.

23:13 And its meal offering shall be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering by fire to Jehovah for a satisfying fragrance. And its drink offering shall be of wine, a fourth of a hin.

23:14 And you shall eat no bread or parched grain or fresh ears until that same day, until you have brought the offering of your God. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

23:15 And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath; from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering there shall be seven complete Sabbaths.

23:16 You shall count fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new meal offering to Jehovah.

23:17 You shall bring out of your dwelling places two loaves as a wave offering; they shall be of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour, baked with leaven, as firstfruits to Jehovah.

23:18 And you shall present with the bread seven lambs, a year old without blemish, and one bull of the herd and two rams; they shall be a burnt offering to Jehovah with their meal offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire for a satisfying fragrance to Jehovah.

23:19 And you shall offer one male goat for a sin offering and two male lambs, a year old, for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

23:20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits as a wave offering before Jehovah with the two lambs; they shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest.

23:21 And you shall make a proclamation on that same day; you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor. It shall be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.

23:22 And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner; I am Jehovah your God.

23:23 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

23:24 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a complete rest, a memorial commemorated by the blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

23:25 You shall do no work of labor, but you shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah.

23:26 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

23:27 And on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Expiation; you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall afflict your souls and present an offering by fire to Jehovah.

23:28 And you shall do no work on that same day, because it is a Day of Expiation, to make expiation on your behalf before Jehovah your God.

23:29 If there is any person who does not afflict himself on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.23:30 And if any person does any work on that same day, I will destroy that person from among his people.

23:30And if any person does any work on that same day, I will destroy that person from among his people.

23:31 You shall do no work; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.

23:32 It shall be to you a Sabbath of complete rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month in the evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.

23:33 Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

23:34 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to Jehovah.

23:35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor.

23:36 Seven days you shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no work of labor.

23:37 These are the appointed feasts of Jehovah, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present an offering by fire to Jehovah, burnt offerings and meal offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its own day,

23:38 Besides the Sabbaths of Jehovah and besides your gifts and besides all your vows and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to Jehovah.

23:39 Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall keep the feast of Jehovah seven days; on the first day shall be a complete rest, and on the eighth day shall be a complete rest.

23:40 And on the first day you shall take for yourselves the product of stately trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God for seven days.

23:41 And you shall keep it as a feast to Jehovah seven days in the year. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.

23:42 You shall dwell in booths seven days ? all who are native in Israel shall dwell in booths ?

23:43 So that your descendants may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.

23:44 And Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of Jehovah.
