Ps 13

13:1 For the director of music. A psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

13:2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

13:3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;

13:4 my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall.

13:5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

13:6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.

13:1 How long, O Jehovah? Will You forget me continually? / How long will You hide Your face from me?

13:2 How long will I take counsel in my soul / And sorrow in my heart day after day? / How long will my enemy be exalted over me?

13:3 Consider and answer me, O Jehovah my God; / Enlighten my eyes lest I sleep the sleep of death,

13:4 Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, / And my adversaries exult when I am shaken.

13:5 But I trust in Your lovingkindness; / My heart will exult in Your salvation;

13:6 I will sing to Jehovah, / For He has dealt bountifully with me.
